The presidents of Texas – Part 1

In a previous article, we looked at the life and career of Sam Houston – the only person in U.S. history to serve as governor of two states, Tennessee and Texas.
Moreover, Houston also represented both states in Congress – Tennessee in the House of Representatives and Texas in the Senate.
And for good measure, Houston was able to add to his resume that he was the president of the Republic of Texas on two occasions!
