John Clapp, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church for the past 16 years, is well known in Alva. Part of that familiarity also came from working at the church and Alva Walmart at the same time.

The Clapp family moved here from Brookfield, Missouri, where he was also a minister – which gives him an accumulated 25 years experience. He will have been married to his wife, Teresa, for 29 years this August, and they home-schooled three kids who are all out of the nest.
