Man who forced flight diversion to Oklahoma to be freed

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A man whose screaming and threatening a flight attendant aboard a Delta Air Lines flight prompted an emergency landing in Oklahoma will be released to his parents pending trial.

Court documents show 29-year-old Bolutife Olorunda of Vancouver, Washington, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Tulsa to interference with flight crew members and attendants.

The Tulsa World reports a federal magistrate said Olorunda will remain in custody until his parents take him to their home in Indiana. He must surrender his passport and stay away from airports.
