Kansas family surprises dad by restoring his old truck

 


SALINA, Kan. (AP) — Bill Unruh didn't notice his old truck was no longer parked in the shed at the family farm as he helped his children organize. When his brother, George Unruh, drove it down the driveway, he didn't recognize it.

Then his sons handed him the keys.

Bill Unruh purchased a 1964 Ford F-100 from a car lot in Garden City in 1969. He drove it for many years before turning it over to his brother. Bill Unruh's children drove it. George Unruh's children drove it. On June 9, it found its way back Bill as a Father's Day gift from his children.
