The new water tank construction project on Young Street is ahead of schedule by about 10 percent. That was determined at a meeting of the city, the engineer, DEQ and Wynn Construction on June 6. The current projected completion date is Aug. 28, according to Alva Business Manager Joe Don Dunham.
