An article in the Chronicles of Oklahoma, a quarterly publication of the Oklahoma Historical Society, tells the story of banking in one of the state’s smallest communities. “Banking in Oklahoma’s Smallest Certified City: Alva State Bank and Trust Company, Freedom Branch” provides a picture of community banking in Oklahoma.
