Alva Garden Council features Petunia Garden Club member Janet Wanger

 

Lily pond built by Max Wanger homes several goldfish and is a relaxing place to enjoy all the many birds that fly in to enjoy the bird food provided. Crepe myrtles line the east and south fences and will soon be in full bloom.

"The love of gardening came from Grandma Delza Roots," said Janet Wanger, a member of the Petunia Unit of the Council of Alva Garden Clubs. "She had beautiful iris, peonies, roses and a small vegetable garden for which I was lucky to get to assist."

Their home, north of Alva, has been a work in progress and sits across the road from the Alva Golf & Country Club. One of the first plantings was a maple tree in their front yard.
