Baker, McDermott-Penco carry cross from Alva to Devine Water Well

This writer came across a man and woman dragging a crucifixion-type cross east on U. S. Highway 64 Tuesday morning. Thinking there might be an interesting story for our newspaper readers, I pulled to the side of the road and asked if I could talk to them. At that very moment, I recognized the woman, Alyson McDermott-Penco, a local Alva resident.
