New photo, video policy at library

 


Technology has changed the way we access information. Sandra Ott Hamilton, director of the Alva Public Library, told the library board Monday that the local facility has become more of a community center than an information storage building. In the past, people sought out the library to look up reference material and information or to ask questions.

Ott Hamilton says the library now serves more as a place to learn new skills, find entertainment and meet with other community members. As society and the use of technology have changed, the policies of the library also require changes.
