MEDICINE LODGE, Kansas – Barber County Sheriff Lonnie Small continues to face legal battles stemming from law enforcement’s fatal shooting of an unarmed Steven Myers, 42, last year.

On Tuesday, Myers’ widow, Kristina Myers, as administrator of the estate and on behalf of the couple’s three children, filed a wrongful death suit against Small in Barber County District Court.
