A vehicle reported stolen in Alva was recovered at a casino. A Cherokee man has been charged with the theft.

According to court documents, Officer William Shahan of the Alva Police Department was contacted by the Lighthorse Police Department. They reported locating the stolen 2011 Chevrolet Impala being driven by Linda Steffen. She had been stopped pulling into the New Castle gaming center. A male passenger was released but Steffen was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
