News went out briefly that Pat White, long time real estate broker in Woods County, was leaving Alva for a slower pace in Enid. Her old office was able to get the word out and invite many of her long-time friends to drop by and wish her well.

The reception was held from 3 until 5 p.m. and there was a steady stream of friends with lots of laughter and fond memories. Todd Holder popped in and said there will never be a real estate agent that conducts themselves with as much integrity, class and competence as White has done for so many decades in Alva.

White started her Alva business career at Johnsons Insurance in the 1970s. She quickly proved herself to be an excellent real estate agent and established the residential business there. Around 1980 White went independent and moved to 519 ½ Barnes, where she did business as Pat White Realty until May of 2017 when she sold the business, but remained as an associate broker. In the past 40 plus years Pat has helped build this community house by house.
