OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals will not reconsider the life-without-parole sentence of a man who pleaded guilty to first-degree murder to avoid the death penalty.
The court on Thursday rejected a request for an evidentiary hearing filed by 27-year-old Gerald Jackson, who pleaded guilty to murder and other charges in the January 2012 shooting death of 25-year-old Christopher Trevino of Oklahoma City. Trevino's body was found in his home after a home invasion was reported to police.
