Myrtle was born July 22, 1923, the eldest of seven siblings to Don and Irene Campbell.
Myrtle is a 1941 graduate of Jet High School and was known for showing shorthorn cattle in 4-H.
She married Merwyn Shaklee on July 13, 1942. they traveled around while Merwyn served with the military.
After World War II, they bought a farm south of Jet where they raised a family. Merwyn died in 2004.
