Colorado college shuts down kid camps after illness outbreak

 


GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — The University of Northern Colorado has shut down two kids' summer camps after multiple campers became ill.

The Greeley Tribune reports that eight kids at the Summer Enrichment and Young Child programs exhibited symptoms consistent with norovirus, which can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

UNC spokesman Nate Haas says no one required hospitalization but the camps were shut down Thursday.

The camps at which the kids got sick were scheduled to end Saturday.
