MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma will relocate this fall to a city east of its current location.
The bankruptcy court announced July 12 that it will move from the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse in downtown Okmulgee to the Ed Edmondson Federal Courthouse in Muskogee effective Oct. 1, the Tulsa World reported .
"We have a beautiful courtroom here that we'll miss a lot, but we wanted to save taxpayers some money," said Therese Buthod, clerk of the court for the Eastern District's bankruptcy court.
