Hammer, Stanford cap careers with USTFCCCA academic honor; Lady Eagles earn team award

 


NEW ORLEANS (July 26, 2018) – Oklahoma Christian track and field seniors McKenzie Stanford and Layne Hammer picked up one more award on Thursday, receiving All-Academic individual honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Hammer, a Mechanical Engineering major from Greeley, Colo., and Stanford, an Early Childhood Education major from Perkins, were among 405 NCAA Division II women who earned the USTFCCCA honor.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.25 and have posted a provisional or automatic qualifying standard...
