NWTC's Kate Nickel receives cash award at CareerTech Summer Conference

The Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education (OkACTE) presented an increased amount of cash awards for outstanding Oklahoma CareerTech educators at their 51st annual Oklahoma CareerTech Summer Conference. The yearly awards ceremony took place at the Cox Convention Center on Aug. 1 and was made possible by Robert A. Funk, president of Express Employment Professionals. This year’s prizes increased by a total of $7,500 for the following categories:

• OkACTE Post-Secondary Teacher of the Year – increase from $5,000 to $7,500 awarded to Josie Scott, simulation/skills lab coordinator...
