Federal judge refuses to block Arkansas student transfers

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A federal judge is refusing to block Arkansas students in four districts from transferring to nearby districts pending the outcome of a lawsuit challenging the Arkansas School Choice Act, which allows such transfers.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that U.S. District Judge Susan Hickey on Wednesday declined to issue temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions sought by the Hope, Camden Fairview, Lafayette County and Junction City school districts.
