Alva scout troops address questions about scouting changes

Several months ago, Scouts B.S.A. voted upon a new policy that would allow girls to become members of the organization that had historically been only for boys. At this time, girls may join Cub Scouts, which is for kindergarten through fifth grade. Older girls will have the opportunity to join Scouts B.S.A. in February 2019. Girls and boys will have separate dens using Cub Scouts or Scouts B.S.A. programming. This is not a co-ed program.
