A vehicle reported stolen in Alva was later recovered in Ford County, Kansas, and the driver was held for local authorities.

The vehicle was reported stolen on Aug. 8 about 2:25 p.m. and recovered the same afternoon. Alva Police Officer Brian File talked with Malissa Lee Jordan at El Maya where she works. She said her white 2007 GMC Yukon was stolen by a coworker. It was described as having the passenger side door handle missing with FOX RACING on the back window.
