Oklahoma court rejects claim against Aubrey McClendon estate

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An Oklahoma appeals court has rejected a Tulsa businessman's $500,000 claim against the estate of the late natural gas magnate Aubrey McClendon.

The Court of Civil Appeals ruled Thursday that an Oklahoma County district judge was correct when she dismissed the claim by Thomas Quinn.

McClendon, former CEO of Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy Corp., died in a 2016 vehicle crash after he was indicted for conspiring to rig bids to buy oil and natural gas leases.

Quinn filed a claim alleging he loaned McClendon $500,000 in 1991. The estate rejected the claim , and Judg...
