Alva woman charged with endangering child

An Alva woman has been charged with child endangerment. Rhonda Ann Whitely, 51, of Alva, was charged Aug. 9 with a felony of child endangerment by driving under the influence. According to court information, Whitely is charged with transporting her 8-year-old granddaughter in her car while having a blood or breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to four years and/or a fine of $5,000.
