Charles Wayne Thom, 93, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, died Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.

He was born on January 29, 1925, in Medicine Lodge to Hugo and Stella (Moomau) Thom. Wayne graduated in 1943 from Isabel High School.

Wayne was very proud of his military service, serving in World War II with the United States Army Regiment 19 the 24th Infantry in the Philippines from 1944 to 1945. Wayne was awarded the Purple Heart. After the war he began farming and ranching in the Isabel and Lake City area and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Nashville, Kansas....
