Ex-state medical board attorney makes first court appearance

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The former top lawyer at the Oklahoma State Department of Health has made her first court appearance, at which a judge entered "not guilty" pleas on her behalf to sending threatening emails to herself.

The Oklahoman reports Julie Ezell was arraigned Wednesday before Special Judge Kevin McCray in Oklahoma City on felony charges of preparing false evidence and a computer crime. She also is charged with making a false report of a crime, a misdemeanor.
