Jackson school system taps Oklahoma administrator as leader

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi's second-largest school district says it wants to hire an Oklahoma administrator as its next superintendent.
The Jackson school board on Tuesday announced Errick Greene, currently a top administrator for Tulsa schools, as its choice.
Before Greene signs a contract, the board is asking the Mississippi Department of Education to issue him an administrator's license. If the state approves, Greene is likely to start work by Oct. 1.
