SCU wins twice on opening night

WINFIELD, Kan. – Southwestern Christian University began its 2018 season with a pair of wins over Bethel (Kan.) and Southwestern (Kan.) Tuesday at Stewart Field House.
The Eagles dispatched Bethel 3-0 (25-17, 25-8, 25-12) before toppling home-standing Southwestern 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-22).

Junior Cashlyn Munroe and newcomer Kami Bratcher keyed SCU's assault of Bethel with 11 and 10 kills respectively. Darian Parsons added six kills to her team-high 27 assists.
