Due to difficulty standing, Linda Joseph addresses the city council from a seated position. She said she wants to "start a revolution" against weeds.

Several people had a lot to say to the Alva City Council about tall weeds and grass Monday. The council also voted on an ordinance regulating newly legalized medical marijuana.

City Business Manager Joe Don Dunham opened the discussion on new marijuana laws reminding the council that the passage of State Question 788 raised the question of "how our community is going to handle this new product and business."
