That is the sound of our sales tax rising, lowering of services, no raises for anyone but the high ups in the city and your share of a 25-year dream. Let me set one thing straight. I did not attend the council meeting. I do appreciate all that attended, but the fix was in. The city fathers were nice enough to let people speak to deaf ears. While it is admirable for the city to designate 1 percent of the undesignated sales tax revenue to this endeavor, if I understand city business, sales tax that is undesignated is used to keep the city running.
