Police spot burglary suspect, stop and arrest him

Alva police responded to a residential alarm on Wednesday, Aug. 15, and found a door kicked in. Alva K9 Officer John Caviness responded to the home in the 700 block of Choctaw at 8:17 p.m. Officer Ron Vasquez also responded. Caviness went to the front of the house and Vasquez to the back. Vasquez found the back door appeared to be kicked in and entry made.

Woods County Deputy Kyle Fuller arrived and assisted Vasquez in searching the interior for a possible suspect. No property appeared to be missing but they noted a large television set appeared to have been moved.
