Spiritually Speaking

Has anybody noticed how much preachers like to talk? I suppose it is part of the job description – at least during our allotted time on Sundays and Wednesday nights. For most of us, every few minutes of yapping is preceded by countless hours of pulling together notes and rethinking the original outline. For some of us, the Sunday sermon might find its final form during some random moment of clarity at 2 a.m. In any case, we tend to create a lot of paperwork.
