Blackwell captures lead early to defeat Alva Ladybugs

The Ladybugs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-1 loss to Blackwell on Thursday. The Ladybugs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Blackwell, giving up nine runs.

Blackwell fired up the offense in the very first inning, when a player grounded out, scoring one run. Over the game, the Blackwell pitcher surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven.

Both Hallie Durkee and Saydy Graybill pitched for the Ladybugs....
