Fumbles Prove Costly as No. 7 Harding Powers Past Henderson State in 2018 Season Opener

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State racked up 324 yards of total offense on Thursday night, but No. 7 Harding scored 21 points off of three Reddie fumbles and pulled away to win the season opener for both teams, 41-17. The win is Harding's third-consecutive victory at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium and Ruggles Field, and snaps Henderson's nine-game winning streak in opening games.
The Bisons got off to a quick start, and used a 25-yard field goal and an 11-yard scoop and score on a Reddie fumble from cornerback Frank Herbert to jump out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
