Storm Fall at Southeastern

DURANT, Okla. — Southern Nazarene totaled 189 yards with 119 on the ground and 70 through the air in a 35-0 loss at Southeastern Oklahoma State in the 2018 opener.

Jacob Spady led the way for the Crimson Storm (0-1, 0-1 GAC) as he rushed for a team-high 91 yards and threw for 70. The senior though was picked off three times as he completed four of his 16 pass attempts. Reid Roelofs was Spady's top target as he had 51 yards on three catches.

The Savage Storm (1-0, 1-0 GAC) rushed for 228 yards on 48 carries and were 15-for-21 in pass attempts as they threw for 154 yards.

The Savage Storm took 7:20 off the clock in the first quarter on the first drive of the game as they went 75 yards on 14 plays to take a 7-0 lead. SNU had just three plays and five yards in the first quarter. Southeastern struck early in the second quarter to end an 88-yard drive to lead 14-0 with 14:54 left in the quarter. SOSU pushed it to 21-0 with 6:53 left in the third on a five-play, 85 yard drive.

Southeastern stretched it to 28-0 with 4:57 left in the third and pushed it to 35-0 with 14:53 left in the fourth. The Savage Storm sat on the lead from there.
