Alva School Board meets Tuesday

A contract for one certified teacher is on the agenda for the Alva Board of Education meeting Tuesday. The board will meet at 5 p.m. at the superintendent’s office, 418 Flynn.
The board will discuss and vote on appointing the superintendent to review results of the National Criminal History Record Searches for the current fiscal year.
There will be votes on the assignments to the Internal Activities Committee and the Gifted and Talented Committee. The board will consider approving the Local Education Agency temporary contract with Big 5 Community Services. There will also be a vote on the revised extra duty assignments.
Board members will discuss and vote on adding high school slow pitch softball.
An executive session is scheduled for discussion on staff negotiations and the AEA contract. After a return to open session, the board may vote on approving the AEA contract for the current fiscal year.
