Parson: Special session issues vital to Missouri's future

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Missouri Gov. Mike Parson says the two issues that will be taken up in special session next week are crucially important to Missouri's future.

The Republican governor traveled to Springfield, St. Louis and Hannibal Tuesday in preparation for next week's special session to consider bills he vetoed on science education and expanding drug treatment courts. Parson says the special session is aimed at replacing problematic language in both bills.
