Savage Late Goal Sends Harding Men's Soccer Past William Jewell

SEARCY – Harding overcame an early William Jewell goal and scored the game-winner late in the second half of a 2-1 victory Tuesday in the Bisons' home opener.

With the victory, Harding moves to 2-0-1, its best-ever start after three games. William Jewell, a member of the Division II Great Lakes Valley Conference, fell to 0-1-0.

With the score tied 1-1, Harding freshman Jack Savage got loose down the left side, outran a defender and beat William Jewell goalkeeper Quinn Ruggeri to the far post to give the Bisons the win. It was Savage's team-leading second goal of the season, both of them g...
