A Woods County warrant has been issued for an Alva man on a felony firearms charge. Samuel Lee Garrett, 49, has been charged with feloniously pointing a firearm. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for one to ten years.

According to court documents, on Aug. 29, about 10:18 p.m. Alva Police Officer William Shahan was dispatched to the 1000 block of Barnes Street for a domestic disturbance involving a firearm.
