WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A woman has filed a federal lawsuit accusing a Kansas agency of failing to properly investigate complaints that a high-ranking official offered her a job in exchange for sex and sent her a sexually explicit video.

Jennifer Gill filed the lawsuit this month against the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services, the Wichita Eagle reported . Gill worked for Equi-Venture Farms, a Newton organization that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities.

The lawsuit alleges Gill was harassed by Brandt Haehn, the department's former commissioner of in-home and community services.

Haehn soliticed sex from Gill in exchange for a job in 2016 when she met with him to discuss the agency's job openings, according to the lawsuit. Gill alleged Haehn sent her explicit messages for four months that year, including texts, photos and a graphic video of himself.

Gill reported Haehn's actions to the state agency in March 2017, but the agency never conducted "a prompt and thorough investigation," the lawsuit said. The suit said the agency's conduct was "outrageous" and that Gill has experienced mental and emotional distress.

The state agency has declined to comment. But department official Tim Keck confirmed Haehn was put on administrative leave following the allegations and that he's no longer employed by the state.

The lawsuit also alleges Gill was fired from Equi-Venture in December 2016 in retaliation for her complaints about Haehn. She filed a separate lawsuit in June against the company, which said it "did not willfully violate or recklessly disregard any law" in how it treated Gill.
