Alfalfa County commissioners accept bid on wildland brush rig

September 19, 2018

The three commissioners in Alfalfa County met Monday morning with a relatively short agenda.

Routine items such as minutes from the last meeting, monthly officer reports, maintenance and operation warrants for payment, and blanket purchase orders were reviewed, accepted and approved. There were eight road crossing permits, half belonging to District 1 at $6,125.

District 2 had two and a half permits at $6,187.50 and District 3 totaled $1,562 for its one and a half.

Next, commissioners approved to go out on bid for a wildland brush rig for Jet Responders, while a bid on a brush rig for Goltry Rescue was awarded to Blanchard. Their $126,000 bid was the lowest and met all the specifications.

Discussion ensued on ETR fund policies and it was decided that Lacey Roquemore would be added as a receiving officer for that fund.

Lastly, two private property easements were approved, one for District 1 (NW/4 32-29-12) to open gravel and one for District 2 (SW/4 8-26-11) to remove trees and clean/shape channel.
