SWOSU's Memory Phiri Named GAC Offensive Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – SWOSU Soccer senior forward Memory Phiri has been named the Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The award was announced on Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.
Phiri earned her first Player of the Week honor after her performance against Angelo State on Friday. She provided two key goals for the Bulldogs as her first of the game would give SWOSU a 1-0 lead against ASU, while her second would help tie the game at 2-2. Phiri would cause havoc for the ASU defense, as she would record six shots in the game, five of which would be shots on goal.
