ECU's Dunson Named GAC Defender of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – East Central University soccer junior Kariss Dunson has been named the Great American Conference Defender of the Week for Sept. 18.
Dunson picked up the honor after the Tigers (2-4) split their final two non-conference contests. She led a defensive effort against Eastern New Mexico that gave up only seven shots, four on goal, in a 2-0 shutout victory. Against Angelo State, she led the team with three shots and two on goal.
The Bixby, Okla., native has played and started in all six matches for the Tigers in her first season in a black and orange uniform. Her three shots, two on goal, against the Greyhounds are her lone shots of the season.
