ECU Volleyball Competes at Southern Nazarene

BETHANY, OKLA. – The East Central University volleyball team wrapped up the week of Great American Conference action with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-23) loss at Southern Nazarene.

Scoring

Set One: L, 11-25

Three tie scores

Final tie at three, the Crimson Storm (9-9, 3-2 GAC) then went on a 5-1 run to take control

Set Two: L, 17-25

Four tie scores

Last tie a four, SNU then 4-1 run for the lead

Set Three: L, 23-25

Six tie scores

The Tigers (0-17, 0-5 GAC) took an early 11-4 advantage, using several small runs

The Crimson Storm fought back with a 10-1 run to gain the lead

Tied at 16, SNU then 3-0 to take 19-16 lead

ECU fought back to tie the set at 20 (4-1 run)

Tied at 21, 22 and 23

The Crimson Storm then claimed the final two points for the 25-23 win

Jr. Kaitlyn Coffey: Nine kills, .238 (9k-4e-21ta) hitting percentage, one dig, one block assist

Sr. Breanna Waldo: Six kills

So. Sydney Dungen: 18 assists, six digs, one block assist

Jr. Kanoe Vinoya: Eight digs
