Soccer: Harding's Christian Ramos Scores Hat Trick; Bisons Blank Oklahoma Baptist

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Christian Ramos scored a hat trick as the Harding men's soccer team defeat Oklahoma Baptist 3-0 Thursday in Great American Conference action. It was the Bisons' conference opener and it was the second straight year Harding has opened GAC play with a win.
Harding has won five straight against Oklahoma Baptist.
It was Ramos' second career hat trick and the 18th hat trick in Harding history.
The Bisons improve to 5-1-1 overall and 1-0-0 in the GAC.
Oklahoma Baptist falls to 1-8-0 overall and 0-1-0 I the GAC.
GOALS
Harding 1, Oklahoma Baptist 0 – 24th minute – Julio Martins found Christian Ramos who took a quick shot inside the 18 to right bottom corner.
Harding 2, Oklahoma Baptist 0 – 35th minute – Christian Ramos dribbled and beat two defenders and found the left bottom corner of the net.
Harding 3, Oklahoma Baptist 0 – 79th minute – Andre Cunha found Christian Ramos who ran past the defense and chipped it over the goalkeeper.
STATS
Harding took 16 shots, eight were on goal.
Oklahoma Baptist took 20 shots, seven were on goal.
Michael Wasson had seven saves for Harding.
Oklahoma Baptist had six yellow cards and one red card in the game. Oklahoma Baptist played the final 19 minutes with 10 men on the field.
