Ex-Oklahoma officer drops lawsuit in fatal officer shooting

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A former Tulsa County sheriff's major who says he was made a scapegoat in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man by a white volunteer deputy has dropped his lawsuit against the former sheriff.

Court documents first reported by the Tulsa World show the lawsuit by Tom Huckaby was dismissed Sept. 5 without prejudice, meaning it could be refiled.
