September 23, 2018

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Alimata Rabo's four-goal performance led the Bulldogs to a commanding 7-0 victory over East Central Saturday afternoon in Weatherford.

The Bulldogs controlled much of the first half as they fired 14 shots in the half and held East Central to just three shots. Rabo got things going early, as she would find the net for her first goal of the game in the seventh minute to put the Bulldogs ahead 1-0. Memory Phiri would put one past the goalkeeper in the 11th minute to add to SWOSU's lead. Rabo would score in the 28th and 36th minutes to give her a hat trick in the game. However she would not stop there, as she would add one more goal before halftime to give her four on the day, sending the Bulldogs to the locker room with a 5-0 lead.

The second half was much of the same as the Bulldogs continued to put pressure on the Tigers defense. Sandra Nabweteme would make her presence felt in the second half as she would score her first goal in the game in the 49th minute. Nabweteme would find the back of the net again in the 81st minute for her second on the day. SWOSU would hang on to win this one by a final score of 7-0.

SWOSU Soccer is now 4-2-1 on the year and 2-0 in the Great American Conference and will head out on the road to take on Ouachita September 27 in Arkadelphia at 3 pm.
