Cherokee couple charged with drug possession, distribution

Two from Cherokee have been charged with felony drug possession. Joshua Stephen Westbrook, 23, and Whitney Marie Westbrook, 22, were each charged with unlawful possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute. This felony is punishable by a fine of up to $20,000 or imprisonment for two years to life or both such fine and imprisonment. Both were also charged with a misdemeanor of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
