RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – For the second-straight week, East Central University men's cross country senior Larry Filer has been named the Great American Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Filer was the top finisher for the Tigers and for the GAC in the 30th annual Chile Pepper Festival. He finished 32nd overall, against runners the 441 participants from all NCAA Divisions, NAIA and NJCAA, in a time of 25:37.3. The first non-ECU runner to cross the finish line was Lane Alexander from Southern Arkansas in 26:01.6.
