Henderson Races Past the Field, Claims 2018 Battle for the Belt Title

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — After a record-breaking second round, Henderson State picked up where it left off on Tuesday, as the Reddies shot 5-under 283 in the final 18 holes to cruise to victory at the 17-team Battle for the Belt at the Hot Springs Country Club.

The Reddies won by 11 strokes and compiled a team score of 15-under 849 for the event, which ties the program's best score ever at a three-round tournament on a Par-72 course.

Cameron McRae was the catalyst for Henderson on Tuesday, as he posted his best round of the tournament with a 4-under 68. The low round moved McRae into a tie for 8th...
