The Alva Robotics team, Technic Gold, began their fundraising drive on Monday, Oct. 1, by canvasing the downtown square. This Friday, Oct. 5, the team will be having a bake sale as part of the First Friday Art Walk in front of the Graceful Arts building.

The funds will be used for purchasing T-shirts for the team to wear at the competition and for buying building materials for the booth and the practice field.

This year's game is called Current Events, and the team is developing a robot that could clean up the plastic pollution in the oceans of the world. Game Day is Oct. 27, and the team would like to invite everyone to come to the Alva Recreation Complex and watch the fun.

If you would like to donate to help the team, please contact any of the team members or call 580-917-0101.
